Calling all kids!
Join our tree planting club and learn about how Kate Sessions actualized her vision of a green, leafy transformation of San Diego. Together we can help implement SD’s Climate Action Plan one tree at a time.
We invite you to plant fruit trees in a conducive space in your neighborhood where there is an incentive to ensure it is well cared for and maintained regularly throughout its natural life. This can either be in your yard or in the yard of another community member who is willing to sponsor the space. Each tree that is planted will help the next generation develop an ethic of stewardship and establish a conscious relationship between them and nature.
What would the commitment consist of and how will it represent our mission and vision?
planting together (conscious relationship)
maintenance commitment over 2 years (responsibility and education)
impact measurement (stewardship) - reporting every 6 months
a story from each child once per year (storytelling)
sharing commitment (fruit swap)
At this time we have space for 40 children between the ages of 8-18 to register. Just fill out the form below and a Good Neighbor Gardens team member will follow up with you to confirm your registration.
