You're invited to a special film viewing of Common Ground, the sequel to the acclaimed documentary Kiss the Ground, which explores the power within our Soil and the magic of Regenerative Farming.
Good Neighbor Gardens is one of the features! A generous neighbor who was inspired by the film bought out the Landmark’s Hillcrest Cinema in Hillcrest so that you and your friends and family can view it for free. Now that is regeneration!
This free event aims to raise awareness about planetary stewardship and to bring our community together!
Common Ground is both educational and entertaining, highlighting the problems we face, and offering solutions for humanity to help rebalance our earth.
We have the opportunity and responsibility to create positive change.
Join us to learn how we can make a difference!

Join our tree planting club and learn about how Kate Sessions actualized her vision of a green, leafy transformation of San Diego. Together we can help implement SD’s Climate Action Plan one tree at a time.
We invite you to plant fruit trees in a conducive space in your neighborhood where there is an incentive to ensure it is well cared for and maintained regularly throughout its natural life. This can either be in your yard or in the yard of another community member who is willing to sponsor the space. Each tree that is planted will help the next generation develop an ethic of stewardship and establish a conscious relationship between them and nature.
What would the commitment consist of and how will it represent our mission and vision?
planting together (conscious relationship)
maintenance commitment over 2 years (responsibility and education)
impact measurement (stewardship) - reporting every 6 months
a story from each child once per year (storytelling)
sharing commitment (fruit swap)
At this time we have space for 40 children between the ages of 8-18 to register. Just fill out the form below and a Good Neighbor Gardens team member will follow up with you to confirm your registration.
Join us live to learn how Kate Sessions actualized her vision of a green, leafy transformation of San Diego, and how together we can help implement SD’s Climate Action Plan.

The lifeblood element that makes up 60% of our bodies. It’s the liquid that we don’t drink enough of, yet waste effortlessly. It’s home to millions of species, mysteries, and undiscovered knowledge.
We know more about the stars in the sky than the depths of our oceans. We can use it to save lives. If used foolishly, it can take lives. We think there is an abundance, yet only one percent can be touched. If we don’t protect our waters, then what will happen to life?
Come listen to Good Neighbor Gardens Founder, Mia Vaughnes speak about the importance of conserving and appreciating our water.
